Discuss the exact model
Ask the supplier to describe the shell material, head material and assembly of the model being quoted. Do not assume that every drum from one region uses the same timber or production schedule.
Shell and dimensions
Request head diameter, overall height and fitted hardware dimensions. Confirm whether a stated size refers to the playing surface or an external measurement. If the drum must fit an existing rack, provide the rack measurements first.
Head and finish
Ask how the head is secured and what care instructions will be supplied. For custom painted drums, identify lettering, artwork placement and colour references in an approved layout. Keep appearance requirements separate from dimensions and sound requirements.
Assembly and packing
Request an itemised accessories list and packed dimensions. A stand shown in an image is included only when the quotation says so. For a set, identify each drum and its matching accessories.
